SUMMER 2006

I am sitting in a movie theater last year, watching a movie entitled, Walk The Line. Enjoying the movie because I like Johnny Cash and Reese Whitherspoon. Joaquin Phoenix is doing a suberb job bringing a younger Johnny Cash to life on the big screen when all of sudden there is a scene where Joaquin is in a A-shirt. Commonly known today as a wife-beater. My visual awareness kicks in and there is something out of place and it takes away from the realness of the movie that I assume the director is trying to potray. Its the tag on the wife beater. Not the the tag of the era long gone by but the now stamped version that was not around back then. Thanks to CPCS, Critical Inquiry (BP) Media Literacy (NG) and Understanding Aurguments (ES) I am able to look more closely and smell the coffee or notice a slight oversight by the wardrobe people of a major movie production. Whats next a remake of Bonnie and Clyde using Humvees?
